I’m 28 years old, and today I finally did it: I posted my very first TikTok video.
I’ll admit it: I was late to the party. Until this morning, I hadn’t even downloaded the app. In my head, it was mostly a place for viral dances, not serious product building.
But I’m in the middle of a sprint on my AI chatbot project, and I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone and actually put some public content out there.
For the video, I took a little detour. I dug up the source code for a browser MMORPG I built two years ago (which sadly flopped back then), polished it up, and embedded it directly into my new chatbot platform.
One quick lesson I learned: trying to squeeze a desktop MMORPG interface into a vertical mobile video is a nightmare. The desktop web version is definitely better.
I cross-posted the result to Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. I’m curious to see whether this moves the needle on traffic. I’ll share the stats once the data comes in! :D
